Here’s how they’re made…

Sir Jumby

Sir Jumby is chock full of vitamin rich veggies. The kale provides a dose of vitamin A, which is great for your vision and boosting your immune system. The green apple adds a touch of sweetness.

Ingredients

1 medium cucumber
2 cups kale
1 cup spinach
1 green apple skin on
2 stalks celery
1 tsp fresh lemon juice

Method

Begin by washing and cutting or dicing all ingredients into small pieces.
Add ingredients to juicer starting with the apple and lemon juice, then add the cucumber and celery and finish with the leafy greens— kale first, and then the spinach.

Morning Punch

An explosion of flavour, the Morning Punch is not only full of vitamin A, but the ginger and turmeric help promote a healthy digestive track. This juice also helps reduce morning aches and pains because of its anti-inflammatory properties.

Ingredients

5 large carrots
1-inch knob of turmeric*
1-inch knob of ginger
1 red apple
1 teaspoon fresh lime juice

Preparation

Begin by washing and cutting or dicing all ingredients into small pieces.
Add ingredients to a juicer, starting with the apple and lime juice, then add the ginger and turmeric and finish with the carrots.

*Fresh turmeric can be substituted by ¼ teaspoon dried turmeric

Tips from the Jumby Bay team

. We recommend using a cold-press juicer, which reduces heat from friction and preserves the maximum amount of nutrients from the ingredients. At home, any type of juicer will do. If you don’t have a juicer, these juices can be made in a blender by pulsing slowly and alternating soft and harder vegetables and fruit

. If you’re just starting out on your juicing journey and aren’t accustomed to the strong taste, you can use the strainer that comes with your juicer and gradually increase the amount of pulp that you add to your glass. Don’t neglect the importance of fibre!

. Fresh is best! For maximum benefits, drink your juice blends within 2 hours of making. Juice may be refrigerated, but we do not recommend storing for more than 24hrs.

Enjoy your juice!
