Brazilian Cocktail Hour: Top 3 Recipes from Palácio Tangará

The talented mixologists behind Palácio Tangará’s low lit and intimate Burle Bar have agreed to reveal the recipes for their 3 bestselling cocktails so that you can bring an elegant Brazilian twist to your cocktail hour at home. Mix your own masterpiece with the tangy (and award-winning) Tropical Sunset, the floral Save Me! Save Me! and the fruity Don’t Call me Frozen.

Here’s how they’re made…

 

Tropical Sunset
(2018 Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge Brazil Winner)

50 ml Amaro di Angostura
3 dashes Angostura Bitters
2 dashes Angostura Orange
30 ml citrus mix (fresh squeezed orange + lime juice, half and half)
Tonic water to fill the glass

Shake all ingredients (except for the tonic water) in a shaker with ice and pour into a tall glass filled with ice cubes. Top with tonic and garnish with an orange slice and mint leaf.

 

Save me! Save me!
(A tribute to the honeybee)

40 ml Tio Pepe Jerez
40 ml Noilly Prat dry vermouth
10 ml St. Germain elderflower liqueur
10 ml honey
2 dashes Angostura Orange

Shake all ingredients in a shaker with ice and pour into a martini glass. Garnish with a dried orange slice and an edible flower.

 

Don’t Call me Frozen
(Created for International Margarita Day 2019)

60ml Patrón Tequila
10 ml Cointreau
20 ml citrus mix(fresh squeezed orange + lime juice, half and half)
1 scoop of Passion fruit sorbet
Prosecco dash

Shake all ingredients (except for the Prosecco) in a shaker with ice and pour into a margarita glass. Top with Prosecco and garnish with lime.
