Evening Infusion

A fresh ginger infusion after dinner and before bed is one of the best ways to support digestion and prepare the body for a restful night’s sleep. To make, peel and slice 3cm/~1” of fresh ginger. Combine in a mug with the juice of ½ lemon and 1 tsp. honey. Fill the mug with hot water and allow to infuse and cool for 3-5 minutes before drinking.

Whenever you begin to feel stress rising, take a few minutes to pause and perform the following simple steps to immediately feel calmer and more balanced.

. Close your eyes and gently place the palms of your hands over your eyelids for 30 seconds.
. With the index and middle fingers, massage the space between your eyelids in tiny clockwise circles.
. Then, apply a gentle pressure with the index fingers at the inside corner of each eye to release the ocular muscles and ease tension.
. Place index and middle fingers between the eyebrows and glide fingers delicately across the forehead, following the shape of the eyebrows to the temples. Repeat 3-5 times.
. Then, applying a gentle pressure, massage the temples in a clockwise motion.
. Finish by applying a slightly deeper pressure on the temples and holding for 30 seconds.
