But you don’t actually have to be in Paris to enjoy the rarefied cocktail magic that Bar du Bristol mixes up each evening. If you’re feeling in the DIY mood, why not mix your own? The Into the Woods rendition of the classic Old Fashioned blends the savoury essence of mushroom with the depth of whisky and warmth of walnut.

Sound like your kind of drink? Here’s how it’s made…


70ml ceps and morels oil flavoured Glenmorangie
20ml walnut liquor
4 drops fresh plants bitters



Mix ingredients together in a shaker with ice. Add ice to a tumble and pour cocktail over. Garnish with a slender orange slice.
