Warming and Invigorating Carrot-Ginger Drink

On the road to feeling your best, it’s wise to have a few go-to recipes on hand for delicious and vitamin-rich drinks. They bring variety when you are bored of drinking water, coffee or tea, and help to prevent the magnetic pull of the wine fridge whenever you’ve vowed to cut back on alcohol.

This recipe is for warm carrot punch is from Chef Mohammad Joshani, Villa Stéphanie’s resident dietitian. It blends the earthy flavours of carrot, ginger and coconut into one satisfying tipple that can be enjoyed morning, afternoon or evening.

Here’s how it’s made…


Serves 4



400ml carrot juice
60g organic fresh ginger
20ml coconut milk
40ml water



Peel and grate the ginger and bring to a boil in the water. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool for 2-3 minutes. Once cool, strain the water into a pitcher and mix in the coconut milk. Heat the carrot juice in a saucepan or microwave until steaming and add it to the mixture. Pour into glasses or mugs and serve warm.
