There is plenty to do in Baden-Baden at any time of year, but Christmas brings a special calendar of events that are not-to-be-missed.
This festive season, Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa has organised two special outings for hotel guests to enjoy in a friendly group—because a pleasure shared is a pleasure doubled.
1 – Why not join in on an evening visit to the Baden-Baden Christmas market complete with a delicious Glühwein (German mulled wine)? Guests are invited to meet in the Brenners foyer at 4pm on Boxing Day, Thursday December 26th, for the free Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas market) excursion.
2 – Additionally, Brenners invites its treasured guests on a free guided tour of the Museum Frieder Burda on Friday December 27th. The tour will be conducted in both German and English and will conclude with a prosecco reception at the Rive Gauche Brasserie back at Brenners. To join in, meet in the hotel foyer at 2:45pm on that day.
Elsewhere in town…
3 – The ice rink at Augustaplatz is a great place to show off your skating skills (or enjoy those of others). It will be open from November 16th to January 6th, 2020.
4 – The Festspielhaus is hosting the world-famous Marinsky Ballet from St Petersburg, Russia this Christmas season from December 21st to 27th. The company will perform The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker and George Balanchine’s Jewels.
5 – The theatre will also put on a New Years Eve concert on December 31st of Spanish zarzuela music and highlights from Bizet’s Carmen. The concert will feature soprano Ana María Martínez, tenor Joel Prieto, accompanied by the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Karel Marc Chichon.
