São Paulo’s MAC (Museu de Arte Contemporânea) is the city’s foremost contemporary art museum. Spread over eight floors of gallery spaces, the permanent collection features more than 8,000 individual works. Notable artists on display include Tarsila do Amaral, Wassily Kandinsky, Anita Malfatti and Pablo Picasso. The museum also maintains a calendar of high-profile exhibitions.
Housed in a modern-era building by the iconic Brazilian architect, Oscar Niemeyer, MAC is located on the perimeter of the gorgeous Ibirapuera Park. An outdoor terrace on the 8thfloor offers panoramic views over the park and the entire city: one of the best lookout points that São Paulo has to offer.
