Café Antonia at Le Bristol Paris is a traditional Parisian salon de thé set within the magnificent palace hotel. An original portrait of Marie Antoinette by François-Hubert Drouais decorates the wall in homage to the café’s muse, whose name at birth was Maria Antonia. This Austrian name was translated into its French equivalent when she married Louis XVI and became the Dauphine—and later, Queen—of France.
Teatime at Café Antonia is a lavish affair in the style of our namesake Queen. Animated by an array of cakes, scones, petit fours and sandwiches by pastry chef extraordinaire Julien Alvarez—and served in bespoke Raynaud porcelain—the high tea ritual is here at its most elegant. Time stands still as you allow your senses to dance over a fine cup of tea (or Champagne) and its accompanying nibbles.
In addition to the delightful teatime service, Café Antonia serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu encompasses casual fare prepared in the style of Le Bristol’s celebrated chef, Eric Frechon.
