Le P’tit Cageot is a tiny restaurant tucked into a pedestrian alley in Antibes.
Run by husband and wife Arnaud and Roxane Lacombe, this charming dinette serves traditional French recipes with the freshest seasonal ingredients and a colourful, contemporary touch. Laurent Van Hoegaerden, General Manager at l’Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc adores the Lacombes’ unapologetically simple approach.
“This place has an uncomplicated menu: 3 starters, 3 mains, 3 desserts and, above all, is run by a highly enthusiastic couple – the husband in the kitchen and the wife on front of house. She describes her husband’s dishes with such admiration that it’s very hard to resist trying everything!”
The one-page menu is indeed a blessing for the indecisive. As a bonus course, Arnaud Lacombe offers a concept dish that, he claims, took him twenty years to perfect. It’s his signature recipe, inspired by the delicious ending of a French meal: a plate of sauce with bread to soak it up. Try it and you’ll understand why this unconscious ritual deserves its own spot on the menu.
