On Saturday, 18 May, museums everywhere in France will open their doors for an evening of festivities for the 15th annual La Nuit des Musées.
From sundown to midnight, the public is invited to enjoy exhibits, guided tours, workshops and live performances in some of the world’s most famous cultural institutions, from the Louvre to the Centre Pompidou.
Sonia Papet, Head Concierge at Le Bristol Paris, highly recommends the event to guests who are in town that weekend.
“La Nuit des Musées is like a giant party in the Paris museums. In addition to the exhibits, you will see live music, dance and performance art happening almost everywhere you turn. There’s nothing like it.”
Of course, the event isn’t limited to Paris. Sponsored by the French Ministry of Culture, La Nuit des Musées will take place in over 1,300 museums across the country. So, if you’re in France on the 18th of May, don’t miss out on this rare opportunity to explore the museums at night.
