Continually gleaning his inspiration from his local surroundings, Lilian Bonnefoi serves up unique and original creations to guests staying at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, an Oetker Collection property.
As Head Pastry Chef at the iconic ‘Palace’, he has been treating guests to exciting taste sensations for over 20 years.
The “2019 Easter Egg” is directly inspired by the idyllic surroundings of the French Riviera. The town of Antibes has become a Mecca for yachting since 1996, notably thanks to “Les Voiles d’Antibes”. This annual event, which takes place around the first week of June, marks the start of the Mediterranean circuit of the Classic Yachts Challenge.
It was consequently only natural that Lilian chose a nautical theme for this year’s Easter egg. This version of the egg is created with either Swiss Alpine milk chocolate (36%) or Madagascan Grand Cru dark chocolate (64%), whilst the inside is filled with miniature chocolate fish.
His creation will be available to order as a limited edition from the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc during the Easter period, priced at 95 euros including VAT. Guests staying at the hotel over Easter weekend will have the pleasure of discovering and tasting Lilian Bonnefoi’s creation the second they step into their room.
