The third address for Michelin-starred chef and World’s 50 Best favourite Bertrand Grébaut, Clamato is the seafaring offshoot of Septime – one of Paris’s steadfastly popular restaurants. Rather than living in its big brother’s shadow (literally, the restaurants are side-by-side on rue de Charonne) Clamato has made a name for itself with stylish décor – industrial-chic with exposed limestone walls and soft lighting – and its sublime fish menu, changed depending on what the Atlantic has brought in that day.
Opened in 2014, Clamato has a no-reservations policy that still has people queuing down the street. Its nostalgic East Coast oyster bar vibe, vibrant atmosphere and exceptional Italian wines, ensure that it’s never empty for very long.
